A Jewish fraternity house in Boston is under investigation after five men were found in the basement with welts on their bodies.
They were bound together with duct tape around their wrists.
Police are looking for 14 people in connection with the incident.
The men, clad only in their briefs, were covered in flour, honey, hot sauce and other food products, according to the police report.
“All five were shivering and had horrified and fearful looks on their faces,” police reported.
The 30-member Allston frat house is the Boston University branch of Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Jewish international fraternity. It is not an official fraternity of the university, however, nor does it belong to the school's interfraternity council. However, school officials told reporters that those found responsible for the hazing could face suspension, or expulsion.
The national headquarters of AEPi condemned the hazing, saying “We have been a leader for many years on this subject and expend considerable effort each year to educate our chapter leaders and members as to the proper new member education programs.”
The BU chapter was closed in response to the incident.
